I have been working with Avalanche Search and Rescue dogs since 1994, during that time I have completed courses and attained certifications in the United States, Canada and Switzerland, and I am Currently the Vice President of Wasatch Backcountry Rescue in Utah. My experience includes evaluating and validating search teams, building ski resort protocols and programs, revising and implementing validation standards, instructing dog teams of all levels and experience at WBR schools, and extensive reading and development of puppy selection criteria. I have been a part of numerous rapid response teams, and have been a part of over 10 succesful recovery operations, including one live rescue. I have filled every role of the rescue team from dog team to accident site commander. |
